Tyler's Soccer Bio

Tyler just completed his fourth season as the Girls Varsity Head Soccer Coach at Green Bay Southwest.

Tyler started coaching Southwest in 2012.  He inherited a very young soccer team and a program with low numbers.  In his first season the team was 3-17-5.  In 2013, the team had improved to 8-12-4.  For the 2014 season, the squad was filled with 3 and 4 year varsity players and went 14-8-3.  The Trojans were also Regional Champions for the first time since 2005.  Back with a young squad in 2015 the Trojans again notched 14 wins going 14-10-4 for the season.  The 2015 season included a Regional Championship, Sectional Championship, and the school’s first ever appearance in the State Championship match (coming home with the silver ball after losing to Oregon in the championship).

Tyler also coaches high school Boys Soccer as a Varsity Assistant Coach at Green Bay East High School.  At Green Bay East, Tyler has helped lead the boy's soccer program to a school record in victories, 18, in 2012 and also to the school’s first Sectional Final appearance since 1990.  The boys also won the first soccer conference championship in school history in 2015.

Tyler has also coached club soccer in the area for De Pere Select, Howard Hurricanes, Green Bay Lightning, and the United Soccer of Allouez.  As a coach in Allouez he created the Allouez ICE Boys Soccer Program.  During his 3 years working with Allouez ICE, Tyler helped guide his teams to 5 tournament championships, most notably the U-16 Boy’s USA Cup Championship, and two State League Championships.

Throughout Tyler’s eight years of coaching he has received recognition for his dedication to his players.  In 2012, he was named the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Boys Competitive Coach of the year for his work with the U-15 Boys Allouez ICE Team.  In 2013, Tyler was received the Young Alumni Award from St. Norbert College for his work building the Allouez ICE Boys Soccer Program.  As the coach at Green Bay Southwest for the Girls Soccer Program, Tyler was named the Fox River Classic Conference Coach of the Year in 2014 and the Green Bay Press-Gazette All-Area Coach of the Year in 2015.  Tyler was also named Girls Coach of the year for the Green Bay Press-Gazette "Preppie Awards" for the 2014-15 school year.

Tyler is a 2010 graduate from St. Norbert College.  He is currently employed as a Mathematics Teacher at Green Bay East High School.  His wife, Emily, and he reside on the east side of Green Bay along with their dog, Cider.
